Breakthrough is a valuable tool for measuring adsorption in dynamic conditions and can more closely mimic real world process conditions compared to static adsorption measurements. Monitoring data over time allows users to obtain valuable kinetic information during data collection. In this webinar the Zero Length Column (ZLC) method will be explored for breakthrough adsorption in order to determine the diffusivity of an adsorbate in an adsorbent. This webinar will first focus on the theory behind the ZLC method, then provide an example of how to measure and calculate the diffusivity from breakthrough data.
