ESTABLISHMENT

With the emblem of quality and high technology, HELLAMCO® has been a leader in the field of Laboratory Scientific Equipment since its establishment in 1984, having as a key activity, but also as a strong incentive, the complete and reliable provision of sound technical and economical proposals for scientific equipment throughout Greece. The suggested solutions can range from a single pH meter to the study and supply of the entire Turn-Key Solution equipment of a laboratory or group of laboratories.

Since 1997 we have a full office in Thessaloniki, to meet the needs of Northern Greece, both in Sales and in Technical & Scientific Support.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS

A warm welcome, has been granted to us by the Hellenic Science community over the years, always responding positively to the special training courses we have provided, especially regarding the paid special seminars:
- Hands-On Training of Chromatographic Instruments Operators (GC & HPLC)
- ACS Workshops (American Chemical Society), under the aegis of EEX (Association of Greek Chemicals) for the first time in a country of South-Eastern Europe
- Methodology Workshops of Particle Size with Laser beam

Our company always a pioneer and constantly informed in modern organology, has successfully:
- Participated in numerous technology and science related topics (held in Universities, Research labs, Inspection Authorities, etc.)
- Presented over 50 informative seminars of innovative technologies and implementations in the fields of pharmaceuticals, food, materials research, etc.
- Trained numerous instrument users in private and public companies in Greece and abroad.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION & PRESENCE

The extremely successful operation of OAKA's Doping Control Laboratory, during the "ATHENS 2004" Olympic Games, brought it to the top of the world, with significantly better performance, compared to all previous Olympic labs (Sydney, Barcelona and Atlanta).

HELLAMCO®, as the exclusive supplier and responsible for the impeccable operation, of at least 35 old and new mass spectrometers and mass spectrometers on a 24-hour basis, was invited in July 2005 as a consultant to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games organization.

In addition, the provision of high-level support services is also recognized by important projects-service contracts outside Greece (Austria, Albania, Armenia, Norway, etc). Indicatively, we provided specialized installation, calibration in 300 liquid and gas chromatographs (HPLC & GC) of all types, for 7 months in Austria (Santoz, 2014). We also successfully completed special training in the use of chromatography in the analysis of petroleum products in chemists, of the Baghdad State Laboratory (Athens, 2010).

HELLAMCO® began in 1984 with some basic analytical techniques – gas (GC) and liquid chromatography (HPLC), benchtop mass spectrometry, UV-Vis spectrophotometry (UV-Vis), while introducing to the Greek market many pioneering techniques for their time – Protein Synthesis & Sequencing, DNA Synthesis & Sequencing, High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC), laser particle size analysis, capillary electrophoresis (CE).

The number of analytical methodologies we have been involved in over time, has expanded considerably in both related methods to the above – Thermal Analysis DSC/TGA, ICP-MS, MS-MS, MALDI, TOF, Q-TOF, IR-MS as to completely new – Bioanalyzer, Scan Arrays, RAMAN Spectroscopy, On-Line Measurements, Portable Counters of Various Parameters & Sizes and special extraction instruments for Natural Plants – Ethanol or CO2, SFC/SFE, industrial.

In the future, it is predicted that the combined techniques of today's analytical methodologies, as well as specific technologies in materials science, nanotechnology, as well as techniques to meet the needs of processing natural products and Agrotechnology, will be included in the areas of high interest and development.
