The complimentary insights gained through surface area, density, and porosity can be important to effective formulation, process, and quality control practices.
This is especially true for porous materials, including coated tablets and uncoated caplets in whole and broken forms for the pharmaceutical industry.
This webinar provides an in-depth evaluation of surface and bulk properties of selected over-the-counter common painkillers in tablets and caplets forms. Detailed characterization of textural properties of these solid dosage forms using our density (AccuPyc and GeoPyc), physisorption (TriStar and Gemini), and porosimetry (AutoPore) instruments depicts the distinct features of different methods and the type of results and information the user can expect to obtain.

Speaker: Navid Etebari Applications scientist, Micromeritics |
|
- Navid began his college journey in chemical engineering, earning his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from University of Tabriz and Tehran Polytechnic. He then worked as a quality assurance engineer at NanoAlvand Pharmaceutical Company.
- Navid pursued a Ph.D. at Auburn University with Dr. Zhihua Jiang, researching the valorization of agricultural wastes into biopolymeric products. Navid continued as a postdoctoral fellow at the Sustainable Bio-based Materials Laboratory with Dr. Soledad Peresin, focusing on cellulose-based controlled release tools and biodegradable composites.
- In April 2024, Navid joined Micromeritics as an Applications Scientist, specializing in the density, porosity, and pore size distribution of porous materials.
